“We would appreciate people respecting our privacy at this time. blah blah blah not because I dropped some lbs and thought I could bag s basket and not because he’s a hot Janlmes beard award winning chef who can still pull some hot tail,” she continued. “Amicable and all love and respect! In the comments, Schumer's famous friends — including Sharon Stone, Olivia Munn, Sophia Bush, Andy Cohen and many more — were quick to show their support.

While Stone, 67, left a few clapping emojis in the comments, Munn, 45, joined Debra Messing, Leslie Mann, Linda Evangelista and more in commenting simple red heart emojis.

For her part, Bush, who finalized her own divorce from Grant Hughes earlier this year, wrote, “It’s so damn hard without having it be hard for the world to see… so when the world sees I’ll just say be extra gentle with yourself. All love.”

Gayle King also commended the Trainwreck actress for handling the situation with such humor and grace. “Amy been there never easy..,” she wrote. “Only YOU could make THIS announcement w/humor & love …. Wishing you BOTH the very best.”

Amy Schumer and her husband chef Chris Fischer arrive for the season five New York premiere of Inside Amy Schumer

A source close to Schumer and Fischer, who have been married since February 2018, exclusively told PEOPLE of their split, "There's nothing ugly. It's a cohesive split. They've just been finalizing a few things."

Although speculation surrounding their relationship had been circulating online in the weeks prior, a source previously told PEOPLE on Nov. 13 that “they are both committed to the relationship.”

On Dec. 1, Schumer also shared an update on her and Fischer’s relationship on Instagram.

"Whatever ends up happening with me and Chris has nothing to do with weight loss or autism," Schumer wrote while sharing an update on her recent health journey. "Fingers crossed we make it through. He's the best."
