Beret fever is spreading!
John Travolta's viral Cannes Film Festival look has made its way back to the United States, and other celebrities are getting in on the fashion trend.
The Oscar-nominated actor stopped by Wednesday's *Today *show, rocking his latest beret, and, at the end of the interview, Al Roker appeared on screen to give his weather report, while donning his own beret.
A delighted Travolta gave his seal approval, telling Roker, "Go for it, man!"
Over the weekend, Travolta arrived in France to premiere his directorial debut, *Propeller One-Way Night Coach* — and a striking new look. Making a rare public appearance, the *Grease* icon look transformed via his dark, close-cropped beard, thin-rimmed, circular spectacles, and a series of slouching berets.
Travolta's new style was the talk of the festival online and on daytime TV. Before Roker him, *The View*'s Sunny Hostin declared that she was "swooning" over his look.

Travolta explained why he aimed to make his Cannes fit unforgettable.
"I've been around for over 50 years doing movies, but I can't tell, when I look back, the difference between the events," he told CNN.
"I said, 'I'm a director this time. You're an actor, play the part of a director, look like an old-school director,'" he continued. "So I looked up pictures from the '20, '30s, '40s, '50, '60s, and the old-school directors wore berets, and the glasses, and I thought, 'That's what I'm doing. I'm doing an homage to being a director, so I'm going to play the part of being a director.'"
Well, we're all thankful that we'll get the chance to reflect back on this Travolta era!
