Jayne Trcka's cause of death has been revealed, some two months after the Scary Movie actress and bodybuilder died at 62.
The San Diego County medical examiner's office in California confirmed Trcka's cause of death on Wednesday, Feb. 11 as hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease complicated by a left femoral fracture, with chronic alcohol use listed as a contributing condition. Her manner of death was listed as an accident.
TMZ was the first to report news of Trcka's death back on Jan. 5. The San Diego medical examiner's office noted in its report on Trcka's death that she died on Dec. 12, and that one of Trcka's friends found her unresponsive in her kitchen that day after attempting to reach her via telephone various times in the preceding days. She was pronounced dead on the scene at her home.

Trcka was a native of St. Paul, Minn.; she moved to San Diego in 1986 and began competing in local bodybuilding shows by 1988, as she wrote in a biography included on her personal website. She made her film acting debut in the 2000 comedy and horror spoof Scary Movie as a high school gym teacher named Miss Mann, in which she shared a memorable scene with the movie's star Anna Faris.
"Being fit led to an interesting experience in my life. I was asked to play a gym teacher in a feature film Scary Movie. Definitely a fun and unique experience, which has led to other entertainment work as well, TV, commercials," she wrote on her website. "Went on to study acting with instructor Shawn Nelson, and at San Diego City College."

Trcka's role in Scary Movie led to her appearance in some 11 television shows or movies between 2000 and 2016. She also appeared in the films The Black Magic, Nudity Required, The Interplanetary Surplus Male and Amazon Women of Outer Space, Cattle Call, and most recently the 2016 film The Bad Batch, among other parts. She also appeared to work as a realtor toward the end of her life.
Trcka's death comes as Marlon Wayans, Faris, 49, and many of Scary Movie's original cast return for a sixth movie in the franchise, scheduled to release in theaters June 12.
