Charlie Puth and his wife Brooke just welcomed their first child with a nod to an iconic Beatles song.
The 34-year-old singer songwriter confirmed on Monday that the couple have welcomed a new member into their family, sharing a carousel of photographs to Instagram beside a brief caption.
"Hey Jude," Puth wrote, revealing his son's name while referencing the Beatles classic. The accompanying photographs offered a glimpse at the infant lying in his bassinet, getting fed by his father, and being held by his mother, formerly Brooke Sansone. The final snap featured Polaroids from the days after Jude's birth, with the family in the hospital and then back home.
In an Instagram Stories post, Puth revealed their son's full name: Jude Crawford Puth. A video of the family sees them sitting together on a piano bench, with Brooke rocking the baby as Charlie plays "Hey Jude" on piano.
Over on her own Instagram page, Brooke shared a snap of Jude with the caption, "My whole world."
The couple, who grew up childhood friends in New Jersey, have been romantically linked since 2022. They tied the knot two years later and announced they were expecting last October, with a sly reference to the pregnancy in the music video for Puth's song "Changes." The video featured an appearance from Brooke and at one point, Charlie rubs her belly.
Shortly after, Charlie was naked about the moment during an October visit to The Tonight Show telling host Jimmy Fallon that he "didn't leave much up to the imagination" before confirming that the couple were expecting their first child.

"I'm gonna be a dad," Puth said, quipping, "I hope baby likes music because it's the only thing I'm good at."

Puth has another new arrival on the horizon: his latest album, Whatever’s Clever, is due to arrive on March 27. Asked about the record in January, Puth told Rolling Stone, "I honestly can’t even think about it right now because that’s why my jaw tenses up."

However he did note that he hopes to have Brooke and Jude by his side for his upcoming tour dates.
"I always want to make sure that I’m there for baby," he said. "I wanna make sure that the baby has a normal life, and we’ll have the big headphones onstage, behind stage, and hopefully I can wave to baby."
In the long run, though, he added, "Touring is a really unnatural thing. I can just tell that’s not gonna be sustainable, so we’ll do it where it makes sense, but I just want the most normal life for my child possible. I don’t want them to travel on airplanes constantly."
