Justin Baldoni and his wife, Emily Baldoni, were all smiles in Nashville just two days after the resolution of the contentious legal dispute with Blake Lively tied to the 2024 film It Ends with Us.
Justin, 42, and Emily, 41, were spotted holding hands outside a café in Tennessee on Wednesday, May 6. The outing came two days after attorneys for his production company, Wayfarer — Bryan Freedman and Ellyn Garofalo — along with Lively's attorneys, Michael Gottlieb and Esra Hudson, released a joint statement confirming a settlement. The case had been scheduled to go to trial in New York in two weeks.
Justin and Emily, a Swedish actress, have been married since 2013 and share two children: daughter Maiya Grace, 10, and son Maxwell Roland-Samuel, 8.
Speaking to Extra on May 5, Wayfarer attorney Bryan Freedman said Baldoni was “ecstatic” that the legal battle with Lively had been resolved.
“I can't talk about the terms of the settlement, but what I can tell you is that he is ecstatic, that both Jamie and Justin are ecstatic at the results of this and the settlement itself. They are very pleased with where this ended up," Freedman told the outlet.
Freedman also noted that Baldoni was no longer personally involved in the litigation by the time settlement discussions with Lively began.

“This is not his settlement,” Freedman added. “He's already out of the case by the time this settlement discussion even starts. Justin Baldoni is not a party, and that's what gets forgotten a lot. If you're looking at this settlement as a win or a loss or anything else, I think he just looks at it as a logical ending to a case that he was already out of.”
On Thursday, May 7, Lively's attorneys said in a statement, "This settlement is a resounding victory for Blake Lively,” as a Notice of Settlement and Stipulation was filed at U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Meanwhile Bryan Freedman, who represents Wayfarer and Baldoni, called the settlement a "total victory" for his clients, in a subsequent statement.
Freedman and Garofalo, along with Lively's attorneys, Gottlieb and Hudson, said in a joint statement announcing the settlement on Tuesday, May 4, that It Ends with Us “is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life.” The terms of the agreement were not immediately disclosed.

"Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors — and all survivors — is a goal that we stand behind," the statement read. "We acknowledge the process presented challenges and recognize concerns raised by Ms. Lively deserved to be heard. We remain firmly committed to workplaces free of improprieties and unproductive environments," continued the joint statement. "It is our sincere hope that this brings closure and allows all involved to move forward constructively and in peace, including a respectful environment online."
