Perfect was set to tell the story about "American gymnast Kerri Strug [who] tries to overcome a terrible injury in order to compete for a gold medal in the 1996 Olympics," per IMDb.

Strug, now 48, was part of the U.S. gymnastics team referred to as "the Magnificent Seven." Her iconic performance on the vault despite an injured ankle, which ended with coach Béla Karolyi carrying her off the mat, helped the team clinch gold in the team event.

Following the buzzy conclusion of Stranger Things in December 2025, Brown will star in more projects for the streamer, leading and producing Enola Holmes 3 (out this summer) and rom-com Just Picture It costarring Gabriel LaBelle.

Per Deadline, Brown is also set to star in the screen adaptation of Nineteen Steps, the British actress' debut novel published in 2023.

In February, Brown celebrated her 22nd birthday alongside family, friends and Jake Bongiovi, her husband since May 2024. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, via adoption in the summer of 2025.
