Madden 27 trailer features Bears QB Caleb Williams, Chicago celebrity

Caleb Williams was recently revealed as the cover athlete for "Madden NFL 27," and there's been plenty of excitement about the Chicago Bears' young star quarterback. Now, fans are getting a glimpse at what Madden 27 will look like.

EA Sports released the official trailer for Madden 27, which features Williams and Chicago celebrity Vince Vaughn, as well as Williams in action in Madden 27. In the trailer, Vaughn is running the show at Halas Hall, serving as general manager and head coach as he crafts his Madden team. It lays out what gamers can expect from this latest chapter, including operating as GM with trade requests, contract extensions and holdouts.

The trailer ends with Vaughn wondering if Williams will one day have a statue of himself next to Walter Payton, aka Sweetness, to which Williams responds: "Maybe."

There are also special cameos by future Hall of Famer Tom Brady, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, Green Bay Packers edge rusher Micah Parson, Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, ESPN's Mina Kimes.

"Caleb Williams is what a true face of the franchise looks like -- the culmination of many moments in the Chicago Bears' incredible history that has led them to their electric, generational quarterback," said Evan Dexter, EA Sports' vice president of franchise strategy and marketing. "Madden NFL 27 aims to put more of those critical moments and key management decisions, with meaningful consequences that echo across the NFL, in the hands of our players so that they can build a league that's truly their own. Just like Caleb, the future of football in 'Madden NFL 27' is thrilling and more dynamic than ever before."

"Madden NFL 27" will be released on Aug. 13.
