No one is more surprised about their own Super Bowl commercial debut than Paige DeSorbo, who appears in Kinder Bueno's very first big game ad spot airing this Sunday, Feb. 8 during the first half of the game.
"I was like, 'Surely they have the wrong email,'" DeSorbo tells Parade. "I don't think anyone thinks of me and football in the same category. But I was so excited."
It wasn't just the idea of appearing in the year's biggest and most watched slate of commercials that thrilled the Giggly Squad podcaster, but rather her surprising decade-long connection to the very brand behind the spot.

"My mom is such a host and she loves when people visit," DeSorbo explains. "After I moved out of my house, like 11 years ago, when I come home she pretends like I'm coming to a hotel. She makes my bed really nice and she'll leave chocolates next to it. For the past 10 years, it's always been Kinder Bueno chocolates."
Needless to say when the Daphne designer found out she would be working with that very candy company, her mom was the first person she called.
"I was like, 'You're never gonna guess the chocolate brand,'" DeSorbo says. "So it was very exciting for my family as a whole."
Here's How She'll Be Watching the Super Bowl This Year
While most of us would be throwing a huge party in our own honor to celebrate a Super Bowl commercial appearance, DeSorbo says she's going to be watching it in the comfort of her apartment ... and probably wearing her own Daphne pajamas.
"There's a pair Daphne pajama pants that are navy blue and perfect for game day," she says. "They look like a track pant that you would wear out with a sneaker. And fortunately both teams (in the 2026 Super Bowl) are navy blue, so it's like, 'Go everyone, wishing you all the best!'"

Turning 'No Bueno' Moments Into 'Yes Bueno' Moments
DeSorbo's Super Bowl commercial kicks off Kinder Bueno's new "Yes Bueno" campaign, which challenges everyone to turnaround some of life's not so great moments (obviously chocolate helps). That's something the 33-year-old can relate to.
"I'm very big on if something is meant for you, you cannot mess it up," she says. "So if something doesn't work out, I always think if it happened, I probably would have hated it. I'm very open to anything that happens. So I think I'm actually very good at turning things into a 'yes bueno' moment."
With Valentine's Day coming up, DeSorbo even has some suggestions for taking a holiday that can feel "meh" and turning it into a positive. Yes, even if you've just gone through a breakup.
"First of all, I love a breakup, so I don't ever even see it as a no bueno moment," she says. "I see this as a yes, bueno moment. Level up, try something new, pick up a new hobby. And I also think of Valentine's Day more like with friendships. I've always given cute Valentine's Day gifts to my girlfriends. I think it's a good opportunity to have dinner with your girlfriends or have them over to your couch and vent ... and eat Kinder Bueno chocolate."
Now that's something we can all agree on with a "Yes bueno."
