The All-American Rejects, the Jonas Brothers' tourmates for the first half of their Greetings From Your Hometown tour, cancelled the rest of their appearances just hours before their Nov. 9 concert in Buffalo, NY, citing health concerns for their lead singer, Tyson Ritter.

"Unfortunately, Tyson has to take some vocal rest and we will be stepping away from the remainder of the Jonas Brothers tour," the band shared on Instagram. "His voice needs a little time to bounce back so he doesn't do any real damage." The band was set to open for five more tour stops, including Cleveland, OH, Pittsburgh, PA, Uncasville, CT, and Newark, NJ, before Jesse McCartney took over for the second half of the tour.

"It's been such an amazing run, and we are bummed to have to cut it short," the "Move Along" performers, who also include Nick Wheeler, Mike Kennerty, and Chris Gaylor, continued. "Massive love to the JoBros, their crew, and everyone who's been singing along every night. You've made this tour something special." The night's performance was also set to be livestreamed on Samsung TV Plus, and it's unclear who, if anyone, will step in to open the show.

While fans were disappointed, they also sent lots of support and prayers to the ill frontman. "Wishing you a speedy recovery Ty!! Feel better soon," said one commenter, while another added, "Get some well-needed rest, Tyson. Now I’m happy I didn’t book the tickets 'cause I mostly wanted to go because of AAR."

"Health always comes first, and I’m so glad he’s taking care of himself, but I’m absolutely devastated! Gonna miss you so much in CT," wrote a third.

It's unclear how long Ritter will need to recover and what the root cause of his vocal concerns are, but the band has a busy holiday season ahead of them. They're set to perform twice at the Good Things Festival in Australia on Dec. 6 and 7, KROQ's Almost Acoustic Christmas in Los Angeles on Dec. 13, and a few other solo shows sprinkled between. So far, the band has not shared an update as to the fate of those shows.
