Ricky Gervaisā longtime partner Jane Fallon is sharing an update on her health after revealing her breast cancer diagnosis earlier this month.
The author, 65, revealed in an Instagram post on Monday, March 24, that she underwent surgery to remove the cancerous cells from her body, over a month after initially being diagnosed with āearlyā stage breast cancer.
In the post, she shared a mirror selfie in a white robe and a closeup of a drawing of a black arrow just below her left shoulder, which appeared to point down at the surgery area. Follow-up photos showed her bright red hospital socks as she laid on a bed and an IV sticking out of her hand as she read a book.
The final two photos showed her back at home relaxing after the operation. She could be seen wearing black slacks and a sand-colored hoodie as she smiled at the camera with her cat, Pickle, lounging in her lap. A final shot showed the feline ā whom she described as the ābest nurse everā ā curled up as she petted her.
āLittle update. Big day. I had my op this morning. Iām feeling remarkably fine (which is possibly the drugs, and they might also explain why Iām cross eyed in photo 5). It all went very well, apparently,ā she captioned the photos.
āI celebrated with a cup of tea⦠Iām held together with superglue* and dissolving stitches,ā she jokingly continued. āThe popsox have to stay on for 48 hours, so Iām going to style them out as a new trend.ā
Fallon also noted in her post that she still had to wait about 8 to 10 days before she could get confirmation that the surgeons āgot it allā and the āmargins are clear.ā She said that there was still a āsmallā percentage of chance that there would be āmore surgery,ā but she added that she is feeling optimistic.

The TV producer revealed her breast cancer diagnosis publicly on Instagram on March 12. In the post, she shared that despite having had āno symptoms,ā a routine mammogram caught something, and she was sent in for a biopsy, which eventually confirmed her diagnosis.
