If you saw the headlines about The Traitors Season 4 winner Rob Rausch teaming up with Quinn, the audio erotica app, and thought, okay, but what is actually going on in that story, we have you covered.
"The Snake Handler" isn't just a few steamy lines read in a Southern accent. It's a whole thing. A full slow-burn romance with actual characters, an actual plot, and enough tension to make you forget you're listening to an app.
Who Is Rob Rausch Playing?
Rausch voices Alex — a guarded, tattooed snake handler living alone in rural Alabama. If that sounds suspiciously familiar, it's because it basically is him. Rausch himself admitted as much. "Alex, my character, is honestly a lot like me," he said. "He avoids talking about feelings unless he absolutely has to. But he ends up falling for Paige, and eventually opens up to her."
The story is set in the thick, heavy heat of a Southern summer, and it opens with a bluesy guitar track that immediately tells you exactly what kind of night you're in for.

So What Actually Happens?
You are Paige — Quinn builds its stories so listeners insert themselves as the lead — and your car has just broken down in front of Alex's remote property right before nightfall, during a big storm. No cell service. No one around. You knock on his door.
He can't fix the car. So he invites you to stay the night.
What follows isn't a rushed hookup; it's two guarded people stuck together in a charged situation, slowly letting their walls down. They talk about their pasts. The tension builds. And then things get very Alabama summer night.

"Another half a mile and you would've ended up on someone else's doorstep," Alex tells you when you first meet. "But for better, or for worse, you picked mine."
Yeah. We're spiraling too.
Why Rob Rausch?
Quinn founder and CEO Caroline Spiegel said Rausch was the obvious choice to launch Quinn Features — the app's new premium series of fully produced stories narrated by high-profile voices. "Rob was the perfect first Feature — his authenticity and charm really brought the story to life," she said.
For Rausch, it was about stepping outside his comfort zone, something he's clearly gotten comfortable doing ever since the real-life Alabama snake wrangler charmed his way through Love Island USA Season 5 and then won The Traitors.
"It's something I've never done before, and I was like, 'You know what? Why not?'" he said. "It sounded fun, a little mischievous… and I'm always up for a challenge."
Where to Listen
"The Snake Handler" is available now on the Quinn app. His Southern twang is fully intact. You've been warned.
