Americana singer-songwriter Todd Snider has canceled his tour after sustaining injuries from an assault, his representatives said.

"We are heartbroken to announce the cancellation of the High, Lonesome and The Some 2025 Tour dates," his reps said in a Nov. 3 post on Snider's Instagram.

"Ahead of Todd Snider's show in Salt Lake City, Todd sustained severe injuries as the victim of a violent assault outside of his hotel," the message continued.

A member of Snider's team said he has received treatment for his injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

"Todd will be unable to perform for an undetermined amount of time. We deeply apologize for the cancellation and any inconvenience it causes. We appreciate your understanding as Todd receives needed medical treatment."

Snider's representatives say they hope to have more information on new tour dates soon.

The Nashville-based artist was slated to play the Salt Lake City venue The Commonwealth Room on Nov. 1 before heading to Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington and more.

The Tennessean, part of the USA TODAY Network, has requested reports from local authorities.

The 59-year-old "Beer Run" singer released his record "High, Lonesome and Then Some" on Oct. 17. The nine-track bluesy record was recorded at Snider's home.

It follows Snider's 2023 record "Crank It, We're Doomed" and his 2022 live album, "Live: Return of the Storyteller."
