They experienced both the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat… on the exact same day. Over 49 seasons of *Survivor*, 32 players have made it all the way to the end without being voted out… only not to receive a single vote from the jury for the $1 million. That is simultaneously a brutal mix of both triumph and rejection — of having never being voted out by your peers while also being denied final validation from those same peers.

Some were simply up against incredible players and never stood a chance. Others may have been victims of juries that either did not respond to their gameplay or felt burned along the way. Whatever the reason, they were shut out at final Tribal Council, which is a not-so-nice punctuation mark to the incredible accomplishment of making it all the way to the end of the game.

We figured the least we could do is crown one of these gamers as the best of the bunch.
