Sean "Diddy" Combs is a father of seven.
Throughout his highly publicized romantic life, the rapper has welcomed children with four different women. His ex-girlfriend Misa Hylton gave birth to Combs' first son, Justin, in December 1993. They split shortly after, and he began dating Kim Porter, with whom he had a son, Christian, born in April 1998. He also adopted Quincy Brown, Porter's son from her previous relationship with record producer Al B. Sure!.
In 2006, Porter became pregnant with twin girls. But before she gave birth to D’Lila and Jessie that December, she found out that Combs was expecting a daughter, Chance, with his longtime friend, Sarah Chapman, in July.
They split for good in 2007 and remained friendly up until Porter's death in 2018.
In October 2022, Combs announced the arrival of his fourth daughter, Love, with Dana Tran.
Hylton, Chapman and Tran were all spotted at the trial proceedings for Combs' racketeering and sex trafficking case in 2025. The rapper was acquitted of the larger charges before being convicted of two counts of prostitution-related charges in July and sentenced to 50 months in prison with time served.
Here's everything to know about the mothers of Sean "Diddy" Combs' children: Misa Hylton, Kim Porter, Sarah Chapman and Dana Tran.

Combs welcomed his first son with Hylton in New York on Dec. 30, 1993. They started dating in the early 1990s, and he helped her land her first big break as a stylist working with the R&B group Jodeci. Hylton's career took off, and she's since worked with major artists like Lil' Kim and Mary J. Blige.
Shortly after Justin was born, Hylton and Combs split up. She later welcomed two more children with record executive JoJo Brim.
In May 2025, the stylist spoke out after she was photographed attending Combs' criminal trial in New York City. Hylton wrote in an Instagram post that Justin had asked her to come, so she was "right there for him" despite recovering from a leg injury.
"I'm a MOTHER FIRST, FOR REAL and I am my son's strength and thats just what it is," Hylton said. "Whoever doesn't understand that just simply isn't in alignment with me or anything that I'm about in life. I'm cool with that."

During the rapper's decade-long on-and-off relationship with Porter, they welcomed three children, and he adopted her son, Quincy. Their first child together, Christian, was born on April 1, 1998, soon after they started dating while working together at Uptown Records.
“I know him like I know my kids,” she told Essence in 2006, the same year she learned she was pregnant with twin girls. “He’s gentle, giving and sensitive, especially to me.”
When D'Lila and Jessie were born on Dec. 21, 2006, Porter already knew that Combs had welcomed a baby with another woman while she was pregnant. She split from the rapper for good in 2007, telling Essence she left because she wanted "something different" for herself.
"It's not an original script. He's not the first man who's cheated,” Porter said. “He's not the first man who's had a baby outside of his relationship...But at this point in my life — I have girls now — it's a different program."
Despite the circumstances, the former couple remained close after their split. In a May 2008 interview with Jet, Combs called her an "incredible mother" and said that they were "the best of friends."
Though she spent her early career as a model and actress — starring in films like The Brothers — the mother of four also founded an event planning and marketing company in Atlanta. Singer Janelle Monáe has credited Porter and her company for launching her career after inviting her to an open mic night, USA Today reported.
On Nov. 15, 2018, Porter was found dead in her Los Angeles home. The 47-year-old's cause of death was later confirmed as lobar pneumonia.
"I don't know what I'm going to do without you baby. I miss you so much," Combs wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post days after her death. "We were more than best friends, we were more than soulmates. WE WERE SOME OTHER S—!! And I miss you so much. Super Black Love."

On July 20, 2006, Combs welcomed his first daughter, Chance, with his longtime friend, Chapman, while he was still dating Porter. The rapper never publicly dated the businesswoman, but they reportedly had been friends for years. He later admitted that he had met Chapman at the same time that he met Porter and Hylton.
“I met all of them in the same year," Combs said during a June 2017 appearance on The Wendy Williams Show. "So I’ve known all of them in the same amount of time — but we were friends. I wasn’t running around through my career and every couple of years just being with a new person. These are people that were my friends.”
The rapper added, "Then I would get my heart broken and then my friend would be there, and I would fall in love with my friend, and then I would get my heart broken.”
Chapman and Combs have remained friendly over the years as they co-parented Chance. In 2025, Chapman attended the first day of his sex trafficking and racketeering trial alongside their daughter and wrote a letter in support of him during his sentencing hearing.
"Speaking with Sean, while he's been incarcerated, I've recognized someone who is much calmer and drug free with a clear mind," Chapman wrote, per USA Today. "I believe that after this year in prison, it has been the only time that he has had a break from his past lifestyle and is now focused on what truly matters."

Combs surprised his fans when he announced the birth of his fourth daughter, Love Sean, on X on Dec. 10, 2022. Though he shares the child with Tran, a cybersecurity professional, industrial specialist and model, the rapper has never confirmed that they were in a relationship.
In addition to attending the opening statements in Combs' 2025 trial, Tran has acknowledged the Bad Boy Entertainment founder on the Instagram account she runs for their daughter.
"Happy Birthday Daddy!" she wrote in a November 2025 Instagram post featuring images of the rapper and Love. "I was almost 2 years old in these pictures. Miss You, I’ll eat some cake for you today 🎂."
USA Today reported that Tran also penned a letter to the judge during Combs' sentencing. She wrote that their daughter was "at a critical stage of development," and her father's absence has had "a noticeable toll."
Tran continued, "I do not seek to excuse past mistakes, but I wholeheartedly believe that allowing Sean the chance to be present for his child will not only strengthen their bond but also inspire him to continue making positive choices in the future."
