James McCoy Taylor, a onetime contestant on "The Bachelorette," was taken into custody again in Texas over a 2024 assault case.
The 39-year-old musician was re-booked on Friday, March 20, according to Brazos County Sheriff's Office records reviewed by USA TODAY on March 22. The original arrest stemmed from two criminal charges of assault and unlawful restraint.
Taylor, who appeared in 2016 on Season 12 of "The Bachelorette," which starred Joelle Fletcher, was released from custody the same day after posting a $10,000 surety bond.
He was rebooked after a warrant was filed alleging he had violated the terms of his probation, the Brazos County Attorney's Office told USA TODAY on Monday, March 23. A hearing will be held to allow Taylor's attorneys to plead their case before a possible sentencing for his 2024 charges.
James McCoy Taylor attends the 52nd Academy Of Country Music Awards at Toshiba Plaza on April 2, 2017, in Las Vegas.
USA TODAY has reached out to Taylor, the sheriff's office and Brazos County District Clerk for more information. TMZ was first to report the news.

According to local news station KBTX and Complex, Taylor pleaded guilty in April 2025 to charges of assault causing bodily injury and unlawful restraint, which stem from an April 2024 case. He was reportedly sentenced to probation, 80 hours of community service, anger management classes and more than $1,000 in fines and court costs.
According to KBTX, Taylor's charges stem from an incident involving a 19-year-old college student, who alleges that the former reality star threw her to the ground and groped her, slamming the door shut as she tried to leave his condo.
He denied the accusations at the time, saying in a statement to the outlet: "I would never hurt anybody. I'm nice to every person I meet. That's my statement. Now go ahead and trash my life because you hate my political stances or for the views you'll get on TikTok."

After more than 20 years and nearly 60 seasons of "Bachelor," "Bachelorette," "Bachelor in Paradise" and "Golden Bachelor," it might be difficult for some Bachelor Nation fans to keep track of where every couple is now. Here's who ended up staying together and who called it quits."Golden Bachelor" Season 2: The franchise's second "Golden Bachelor" lead, former NFL linebacker Mel Owens, had a bit of an unconventional end to a season that had a controversial start due to podcast remarks that were widely seen as ageist. Though he ended his stint as the lead with the presentation of a ring for retired firefighter and bomb tech Peg Munson, it turned out to not be an engagement ring."I have a ring, and this represents a commitment to love. To give us time together to figure out what our future holds," Owens told Munson in the finale.
Taylor and his fiancée, Kenzie Linden, welcomed daughter Kobe McCoy Taylor in October. Linden has four daughters from a previous relationship. He was among the final five men on Fletcher's Season 12, but was cut from the show before hometown dates.
Fletcher has since married her final rose recipient, Jordan Rodgers, in 2022; the two welcomed daughter Romy Blair Rodgers in December.
